How long have been at Wantirna College and what primary school are you from?

This is my 4th year at Wantirna College and I have been here since the start of Year 7.  I went to Heany Park Primary School for all of my Primary years.

What do you enjoy most about our school?

I really enjoy the school production, which I am involved in every year. I have been in the production tech crew every year and I have really enjoyed learning how to operate the lighting and sound equipment.

What made you put your hand up to be Home Group captain?

I was homegroup captain in Year 8 and I found it a great way to develop my leadership and public speaking skills. I thought I would give it another go this year and I was elected captain for my class.

What are your main interests?

Basketball takes up much of my spare time. I play in a local comp and I have been a part-time Basketball referee for the past two years. I have really enjoyed doing both.

What subjects are you doing this year?

This year I am doing an early start VCE subject (Legal Studies Unit 1&2). I’m also doing Peer Support, Sport Science, I.T, English and Maths.

What subjects have enjoyed the most at Wantirna?

P.E is a subject I enjoy a lot because I love sports and I feel it is a good way to learn new skills.

What has been your most memorable moment at school so far?

My most memorable moment was in Year 7 when my Super 8s cricket team made it to the state finals and we got to play at the MCG.

What other school activities have you been involved in?  

I am really involved in different sports and have represented school in a number of areas. I also do the tech crew every year and help run different events around the school.

What career aspirations do you have?  

Sports broadcasting is something I am really interested in and I feel like this would be a great job. Sport shows the best and worst in people – that’s what makes it so entertaining. I want to be someone who is part of that world.

How will you achieve your career aspirations?

I plan to go to University after I finish high school and study Journalism or theatre production. I will also most likely volunteer or work in organisations that are involved in these industries to be around like-minded people and make early connections with industry-professionals.
