Year 10 Work Experience

Year 10 Work Experience will be held Monday 13th May to Friday 17th May. This may seem to be months away BUT there are many processes to be completed before students are able to attend work experience.

  1. Your son/daughter should be actively looking a work experience placement in their areas of interest.
  2. Students have been given a Year 10 Work Experience A4 Student booklet which has instructions and hints for finding a placement. We have spare booklets in the Careers/Pathways Office located in B13 in B wing
  3. Most students have competed the Safe@ Work General Module which is compulsory for Work Experience, with several students to complete this on line task this week.
  4. Once your son/daughter has a work experience placement, the Official Form needs to be completed by the employer, parent and students. Check all sections are completed, including the signature  and email address from the employer and bring the document to the Careers Office for checking.
  5. Completed Work Experience forms are due back to the Careers office early March
  6. Students will then complete a Safe@ Work Specific module related to their Work Experience industry

Students are encouraged to visit the Careers/Pathways Office in B13 in Bwing if they wish to discuss any issues in regards to Work Experience.

The Careers/Pathways office is staffed on Monday 9-3.30pm, Tuesday 9-2pm and Thursday 9-2pm.
