Greensborough College musicians have had a few opportunities to shine in the past few weeks.

On Friday, 2 December we performed at the Diamond Valley Library Volunteer Morning Tea. This was our way of saying thank you to the wonderful people who, like our College staff, make it their goal to support the life-time learners.

On Monday, 5 December our soloists Cedar Boyd, Candice Dower, Shannon Hart and Lucrita Hodkinson provided the first-class entertainment at the Greensborough College Presentation Night held at La Trobe University.

On Wednesday, 7 December we hit the road again! In the morning we visited our fellow choristers at Watsonia North PS. We sang four traditional carols together with the school’s choir, and then continued to entertain the audience with our own ensemble and solo performances. Later in the day, after a scrumptious lunch at Greensborough Plaza, we preformed a concert at Bundoora Extended Care Centre. Our specially tailored program comprised of well-known jazz standards and pop songs as well as traditional and contemporary Christmas carols. Our heart-felt performance brought tears of joy to people in the room. They were extremely grateful and asked us to come back next year.

I would like to thank our dedicated students for their commitment to practice that resulted in beautiful performances, the Music staff who guided their students towards success, Margaret McNicol and Suzie Yeo who assisted with the concert at the DV Library.
