• Junior School Uniform requirements – Prep to Year 5

A.N.Z.A.C. Service

On Tuesday the Junior School held our A.N.Z.A.C Day service.  We welcomed guest speaker Mr Daryl Adamson to speak to the gathering of students and parents.  Daryl is a Prep parent.  He outlined his service history in the Australian Navy and Army as well as his numerous overseas deployments.  He focused on the strong family support of serviceman and the issues they face upon their return.  It was a great presentation and I know the students, parents and teachers came away with a greater understanding of what our armed services do and the challenges they face.  Thank you to Ava Mould, Jake Butcher, Harry Austin, Amelie Hiscock and Olivia Rees for representing the Junior School at the Hamilton A.N.Z.A.C. Day march on April 25th.

Junior School Kitchen

In 2017 we commenced our refit of the resource room at the end of the Myrniong hallway.  We purchased an oven and installed a refrigerator.  Our junior students have enjoyed several cooking activities.  We are currently on the lookout for any kitchen item that you have at home surplus to needs.  We are particularly after bowls, saucepans and kitchen utensils.  Any, and all, items would be greatly appreciated.

Mothers' Day Assembly

On Wednesday, 9th May Junior School will hold their Mothers’ Day Assembly to be followed by afternoon tea.  Our Myrniong Mums are invited to join us for this special Assembly commencing at 2.15pm in the Refectory.

School Photographs and Uniform

Next Friday (May 4th) is our Junior School and Senior Campus School Photographs day.  All students are to wear winter uniform for the day.  Order forms have been emailed out to all families.  Physical Education and House Sports/Bluearth will be cancelled for the day.

April 30th is the change-over day from summer uniform to winter uniform.  Last week a note was sent home clarifying the uniform for Terms Two and Three.  Blazers are mandatory to and from school.

Winter Uniform-Girls

• College Winter Pinafore or College Winter Kilt
• College (mid-blue long-sleeved) Shirt
• College Tie
• College navy tights or plain navy long socks
• Shoes black lace up or T-bar school shoes

Winter Uniform - Boys

House Cross Country

Family and friends are invited to join us next Thursday, 3rd May, for the Junior School House Cross Country.  This will be run at Lake Hamilton  As happened last year, students will be bused down to Lake Hamilton for an 11.30am start.  Races will begin and finish at the adventure playground, on the eastern side of the lake.  Students will run in an anti-clockwise direction, completing an out and back course.  At the conclusion of all races, we will provide a sausage sizzle for the students for lunch.  Following lunch we will present our Age Champions and the House Cup.  All students will return to the Junior School at 1.30pm.  There will be no lunch orders available on the day.  Students should wear their House uniform to school for the day.  We cross our fingers for a bright autumnal day.
