Principal's Report

ANZAC Day remains a day to honour those who have gone before, who stood firm in the face of aggression and defended the liberty and the freedom that we enjoy today. It is not a day to glorify war, but rather to acknowledge the self-sacrifice of all those who volunteered to face the possibility of death for no deeper reason than they felt it was their duty. The ANZACs have enriched our nation’s history.
I thank all the students and staff who were involved in our own ANZAC Service and all those who represented us yesterday around the District. I was pleased to learn that almost twenty boarders attended the Dawn Service in Hamilton while a further twenty students from the Junior and Senior School marched later that day.
May we and our own children prove worthy of their sacrifice.
