Renovation in Isolation

Some building works and maintenance commenced over the Term 1  school holiday period, and we have continued to be able to get other projects completed around the school this term, ready for us to enjoy upon our return.

Thank you to Scott Bell and David O’Callaghan, our Facilities Team, for their work on our gardens, particularly along our Dawson St carpark entrance and on the new pathway linking the courtyard to the A classrooms. 

Scott and David have been  on site which has allowed contractors access to complete the installation of air-conditioners in upstairs classrooms of B block, the  downstairs classrooms of D block and to reinstate the  ducted heating in F block Science classrooms.  We are also nearing completion of the full renovation of F block student toilets. 

We have also furnished F8 which is the open space between the VCD and Textiles room.  This room has been set up to accommodate two classes, using three distinct learning areas;  soft furnishings for small

group collaboration, tables and chairs for small group or individual work and a horse-shoe setup which accommodates a whole class viewing a screen.   We look forward to utilising this area for team-teaching within and across learning areas.  The space also enables access to sinks and work areas outdoors.
