ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS' REPORT

REPORT
EXAMS
Congratulations to the students in Years 8 - 11 who have completed exams over recent weeks. These important assessment tasks provide students with an opportunity to demonstrate their learning this semester and prepare students for the challenges they will face in Year 12. We encourage all students to look beyond the grades and marks awarded, carefully consider their strengths and areas for improvement, and act upon the feedback provided by teachers.
VCE ORIENTATION WEEK
All students undertaking VCE studies in 2016 will begin their work next week by attending Orientation Week classes in their chosen subjects (commencing Monday 30 November). It is critically important that students attend all orientation classes with a commitment to work hard. Participating in Orientation Week and completing all holiday homework is essential to ensure all students successfully begin their studies in 2016.
CHROMEBOOKS FOR 2016
As per information sent home last week, the parent portal to order Chromebooks for 2016 is now open; please follow the links from the news item on Compass. Families in financial difficulty are encouraged to contact Mr Ashley Evans to discuss ways the College can support families with this purchase.
The introduction of Chromebooks into Year 7 and 10 classrooms has allowed teachers to take advantage of a wide range of new learning opportunities, facilitated by students having access to a personal computing device in every classroom. Teachers continue to participate in professional development and are planning innovative teaching and learning activities for next year.
