Student Voice

A member of our school newspaper team will now write an article for our newsletter every fortnight. This week's journalist is Aiden Woolley.

At the end of this term we will once again release a publication. I have attached a copy of last term's student newsletter in case you have not had the pleasure.

Cross Country

In April this year, all of the Year 3-6 students participated in the NPS Cross Country. During this event we all had a red hot go and tried our best.

At the start there were a lot of cones labelled with age groups. Each student lined up behind their age group cone.  Then we set of for the track, some of the students were very competitive and ran really fast, but some people felt more comfortable walking. It was great to see everyone successfully finish the event.

The students that love running do not mess around they try really hard and train a bit too, but I’ve got to say I’m ok at running and I try my best but my friend Declan Lowden is one of the running stars; at the start he took off like a bullet!

You know that running is a sport, and if you run well you can go in competitions and that’s a good thing for you. In the cross country events the Year 5-6 students run further than the Year 3-4 students. This year we could only send two students from each age group to the Division Cross Country.

The cross country is one of those sports that we do once a year, and that ok I guess, but I like this event and I wish we did it more.
