RETIREMENT

The whole college would like to wish Maureen Aitken a happy retirement. Maureen has been an integral member of the HPSC community for 24 years and will be missed by all. Congratulations, and thank you Maureen.

WELCOME BACK

A warm welcome back to Ms Georgianne Kios, who has returned to the college after taking maternity leave.

FAREWELL

The college would like to thank and farewell Ms Freda Gatsios, who after many years of dedicated service to the school, will be leaving us for Westall College. She will be missed by all.

The college would also like to thank Ms Tania Soldatic for her hard work while she was with us in Term 2.

Staff Eid Celebration

The month of Ramadan is a happy occasion that started this year on May 17th. Muslims are called by their religion to celebrate the month by coming together in worship, fasting each day for 29 or 30 days from dawn until sunset. After the end of Ramadan, a gleeful festive and joyous holiday is celebrated by Muslims, on 1st of next month, known as Eid al-Fitr [eed ul fit-ur] 14th or 15th June 2018.

To celebrate Eid in our school community, the staff held a morning tea, as well as a whole school lunch celebration.

Thank you te Rehana and the Multicultural Aide team for organising the celebrations and for showcasing their beautiful traditional clothing.
