Division Cross Country

One June 1st, we took 39 determined and ambitious students down to Casey Fields for the division cross country. In freezing and windy conditions, the students from years 7-12 were nothing short of sensational. Everyone ran a 5km or 3km course and represented the college with pride, showing great sportsmanship.

There were some incredible individual performances which deserve further recognition and these include:

Chelsea Sorbello – 1st in the 12-13 year old girls (in a winning time of 12:57 for 3km! For the non-runners out there – that’s fast!!!)
Melanie Naujok – 3rd in the 17-20 year old girls
Junior Anis – 4th in 17-20 year old boys
Stephanie Cook - 7th in the 17-20 year old girls
Ramat Hussaini – 7th in 15 year old boys
John Dela Cruz – 8th in 15 year old boys

A big thank you to Mrs Davies & Miss Newton for coming along and helping out on the day as chief timer and course marshal extraordinaire, and to Miss Peart for organizing the day for us.
