RGPS School Improvement Expo

During Term 2, the Senior VCAL students have been working together on Monday afternoons with student leaders from River Gum Primary School. Together, the students created a presentation on a strategy of their choice related to school improvement ideas. On June 4 all students from River Gum Primary School attended our Expo, participating in interactive activities and listening to presentations from student groups. The Expo was an overwhelming success and has become an annual event. We look forward to working with the students from RGPS again next year.

Careers

Monash University Excursion

On the 31st of May, a selection of students in year 10 had the opportunity to visit Monash University in Clayton. We were greeted by the lovely Monash mentors as they gave us a tour of the campus and told us what it felt like to be a University student, we also had a chance to ask our mentor few questions. Shortly after we were back in the lecture room with a Q and A panel where students could ask all the mentors general questions about the university. We were also given a $10 voucher to buy our lunch and that would probably be everyone’s highlight of the day. Toward the end the day we got put into groups of 5 and played a game of amazing race around the campus, some found it challenging to navigate through the huge campus, however it still an amazing and freezing day.
