Reconciliation Week

On the 29th of May, HPSC Indigenous Students attended the Screening of “We don’t need a Map” at the ACMI- Federation Square, as part of the Reconciliation week festivities.

The students celebrated their cultural identity by watching the documentary from filmmaker Warwick Thornton who investigates our relationship to the Southern Cross, in this fun and thought provoking ride through Australia’s cultural and political landscape.

After lunch Federation Square was abuzz with Reconciliation activities, our boys were treated to a deadly performance by their Uncle Joe who encouraged the boys to participate by singing along, showing the primary school children who were in attendance what great young Indigenous man they all are.
