Class Parents 2019

Thank you to those parents who have already volunteered to be a Class Parent for their child's class.  

 

We are still looking for a few Class Parents for 2019.    We would like 2 Class Parents per class.  The following classes still have vacancies for Class Parents:

 

1F -  1 vacancy

2F - 2 vacancies

3BN - 2 vacancies

5L - 1 vacancy

5S - 2 vacancies

 

Class Parents roles include welcoming new families to the school and being a point of contact for parents in the class for information about different school activities.  Please contact the School Office if you are interested.

Attention Parents & Carers

Did You Know that from 1 January 2019, thanks to the NSW Government, each school-aged child is eligible for a $100 #CreativeKids rebate to help subsidise the cost of creative & cultural activities - including music lessons, language lessons, drama and theatre classes, and even coding classes!!

 

The Creative Kids program is in ADDITION to the #ActiveKids rebate, available for each school enrolled child in the state, to help cover the cost of sports and active recreation fees!

 

Parents can now register with Service NSW to receive their $100 vouchers via the following links:

Lenten Canteen Menu

Please remember to use the Lenten Canteen Menu when ordering from the canteen on Fridays during Lent. 

Edwards Bus Transfer Change

Please be aware that from Monday, 4th March, the Martins Gully red bus transfers will be moved from Martins Gully to Drummond Memorial School.  The transfer will occur at approximately 3.45pm.  This should improve the delays that have been occuring due to the  increased traffic at ASC and PLC. 

Catholic Schools Office Notification

You will have seen media reports of the conviction of Cardinal George Pell. The Archbishop of Brisbane and President of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference, the Most Rev. Mark Coleridge has released a statement to the Catholic community. A copy is attached here for your information. There is no doubt that news of this verdict of Cardinal Pell will bring with it a range of emotions. The legal process will now run its course. If you or your child requires support, please contact your School Principal. We should never forget, that in any matter of this nature, our concern and prayers are with victims and their families. Please be assured that our school system works tirelessly to ensure the safety of every child in our schools, and will continue to do so as together we share the responsibility for the wellbeing of your childre
