Year 4 News

In Year 4 we have been spending time learning about reading, writing, rounding and expanding large numbers. We have completed worksheets and work tasks to help consolidate our learning about Place Value.

We have continued to focus on narratives in reading and writing, investigating reading strategies that help us to comprehend and make meaning of the text. We really enjoy our Free Writing task where we are able to spend time writing about our own topic, while putting into practise what we have been learning. Year 4 are making a big effort to use correct punctuation.

We have also been busy creating our own colour wheel - learning about primary, secondary and tertiary colours. They are beginning to look fabulous.

In Year 4 we have been revising Zones of Regulation and our feelings and behaviours in each zone. We are focusing on a Growth Mindset where we are trying to adopt a positive approach of "I Can" in our learning and our friendship interactions.
