Principal's Report

After several years of virtual events, students have been enjoying preparing posters to welcome the return of visitors for The Kangaroo Hoppet.  A big thank you to Angela for her time in putting these posters up and to all the businesses for their support in displaying our student's artwork.

Our ramps are finally complete!  Many thanks to everyone for their patience during this process. We are all enjoying the new ramps and the ease with which we can now access the building.

The 5/6 ski program resumed today, with Coco also joining in the fun!  Many thanks to Mel for her organisation and to everyone involved for your ongoing support of this program.  The third and final ski day will be held next Thursday, the 1st of September. 

Expressions of interest have now been sent home for the Years 3 & 4 Cross Country ski day   on Tuesday 13th September.  Families are asked to please provide consent via Compass and to contact the school if you are able to assist on the day.  All volunteers must have a current Working with Children's Check. Please provide a copy to the office.

Next Wednesday we will be having a whole school incursion with music group, Eastwinds.   During this event, the musicians will show students how to harness their creativity by expressing and sharing their personal experiences through music. Our thanks to Emily for her organisation of this activity for our students.  

Earlier this week, information on how to access the annual Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey was sent home on Compass.  We encourage all families to participate in this survey as our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.   The Survey will be open until Friday 16th September. 

Reminder: The Australian Dental Health visit has been rescheduled for the first week of term 4. Families who returned their forms earlier in the year, do not need to do anything.  If you did not complete a form and would like your child to participate, please drop into the office to collect a form or give us a call.  If for any reason you wish to withdraw consent, please contact the office asap.
