OPEN DAY
Come see what makes Living Waters such a nurturing and inspiring place to learn! We invite all prospective families to attend our Open Day this Sunday 21 August from 1.00-3.00pm. There will be open classrooms and school tours by the Principal at half hour increments. Please share to invite friends and family thinking about joining our Living Waters Community.
SUBWAY
The volume of Subway orders has decreased substantially with the Canteen now open daily. As such, Tuesday 23 August will be the last day we will be offering Subway lunch orders. Orders are due in Monday.
BOOK WEEK
Book Week will be happening next week, 22-26 August. The theme for this year is 'Dreaming with eyes open.' The library will have some great activities for students throughout the week.
On Friday 26 August students are encouraged to dress up as a character from a book. Parents and carers are invited to attend assembly at 9:30am on the day, which will be followed by a costume parade, then a picnic with their child/ren. Our amazing Library Monitors will have carts of books for families to read together during the picnic.

JUMP ROPE FOR HEART
Jump Rope for Heart is well underway and it’s great to see so many children out in the playground skipping with smiles on their faces. Living Waters has already raised $1435 for the Heart Foundation! It’s not long until our Jump Off Day on Wednesday 24th August so keep on practicing those tricks! And don’t forget to share your online fundraising page with friends and family to raise money for a great cause! Still need to sign up online? BUNNINGS BBQ
Head down to Bunnings on Saturday 27 August and grab a sausage and drink from the Year 6 students and parents as they fundraise for the Year 6 trip to Canberra. The barbecue will be running from 9.00am to 4.00pm. Gluten free and vegetarian options will be available. See you there! Year 6 will also be having barbecues on the following Saturdays: 17 September and 22 October.
FATHER'S DAY BREAKFAST
You are invited to join us for breakfast hosted by POTS Friday 2 September 7.30-8.00am outside the hall. Please RSVP, along with any dietary requirements, by emailing living.waters@ntschools.net before Monday 29 August for catering purposes.
WEET-BIX ACTIVE BANDS
It’s always great to see students running around and keeping active during breaks. Remember to earn Active Points and unlock extra features by scanning the bands every day for active play at home and community sport activities. Did you know that research shows only 19% of Aussie kids (5 – 17 years old) are getting the recommended 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous exercise each day? The Weet-Bix Active Bands program is a great way to help our kids move more, and more often! If your child needs a replacement active band, please contact Reception or your child’s teacher. CANTEEN
The Canteen is now operating every day for Break 1 and 2. To order download the School24 app and use School ID: 25137963. Please make sure to update your child's class in their profile before ordering. Orders will need to be placed by 8.00am on the day. Our new menu, including daily specials, is attached below. Mrs Lightfoot is looking for volunteers to help her make sure her new menu can continue. Without any assistance she may have to reduce the items on the menu again. FATHER'S DAY DONATIONS NEEDED
We are seeking donations for our Father's Day Raffle. Any donations are welcome and appreciated. Please drop your donations in to Reception before Monday 29 August. Please ensure items are new or unused.
