DEVOTION

What is Fellowship?

‘Fellowship’ is a bit of a strange word. We do not often use it in everyday language, but it comes up frequently in Christian life. The Bible uses the word to talk about our connection with God and with the community around us. In Worship on Wednesday 2/3A shared with us the meaning of fellowship through this acrostic poem:

F – friendly words and actions

E – encouraging each other

L – love others

L – listening to others’ opinions

O – overlook faults

W – welcome warmly

S – share with a generous heart

H – help everyone – include others

P – patiently wait for each other

These words paint a beautiful picture of life within the Christian community. As the students shared, Christians are all part of God’s big family and fellowship means treating others like they are our brothers and sisters in Christ. What a blessing to be part of God’s family and the Living Waters community.
