Art Awards

The Kyneton Rotary Youth Art Awards were opened and the winners were announced at the launch of the Kyneton Daffodil Festival on September 1st.

The awards featured many submissions of high quality that showcased the work of students over 16 years of age from the Macedon Ranges. The judge was Peter Butterworth, a local artist and sculptor.

Congratulations and well done to all students who entered the Awards. It is a brave step to make to exhibit your work in the public arena.

There were six category awards on offer and Gisborne Secondary students were successful in three!

The Best Painting award went to Grace P of Yr12 for her work titled ‘Emotions.’

The Best Mixed Media award went to Abbey H of Yr11 for her work titled ‘Bloom.’
