Trivia Night – A great community evening!

What a fantastic, fun evening our Trivia night was last Saturday evening. Staff and parents/carers enjoyed some competition and fun questions over 6 rounds to attempt to be ‘crowned’ the ARPS Trivia champions for 2022. The silent auction was very exciting, with the 10kg Cadbury’s chocolate bar a very popular item for bidders!

Many thanks to all the families and friends who attended on the night. It was a great evening with loads of laughs (and I now know which dog breed cannot bark!).

A special thanks to Bronwyn Clarke and all the members of the Parents’ Association for all your hard work and preparation.

Another special thanks to Jess O’Neil (staff) and her family for being the MC on the night, developing all the questions for the 6 rounds, and preparing the visuals and music for the evening.

An super special thanks to Cas Foley (staff) who prepared all the ARPS history trivia questions and displays- bonus points for those who know their ARPS trivia!

And to all the staff, families and students (who set up the furniture for the night) and everyone who provided support prior to the event or who came on the night- thank you for your support of our school community.

To the families who successfully had bids on various activities at school (including ‘Principal for a Day’ and a free guitar lesson), I look forward to providing these opportunities very soon!!

We really had a lot of fun and can’t wait for next time!

Footy Colours Day and Walk-a-thon

On Friday 16th September, our school will be holding our annual ‘Footy Colours Day’ and Walk-a-thon. Students can wear their ‘team’ colours on the day, and we will have a small parade in the morning, to share our AFL team songs and show our colours and team support. Students can provide a gold coin donation to help support the ‘Footy Colours Day’ Fight Cancer Foundation on the day.

Additionally, families will have received a ‘Walk-a-thon’ notice this week, which will also be occurring on Friday. The Walk-a-thon is conducted in all classes, and is an opportunity for students to raise funds for the school whilst having some outdoors exercise! PARENT HELPERS ARE NEED TO SUPERVISE THE EVENT AND FOR THE SAUSAGE SIZZLE LUNCH!

The Walk-a-thon occurs straight after the parade in the morning, with the laps walked occurring around the perimeter of the school.

During Lunchtime, the ‘longest kick’ competition is held. There are prizes for the F-2, and 3-6 longest kick winners. A gold coin donation is required for students to take part in the competition, with the funds contributing to our ‘Footy Colour Day’ contributions.

We look forward to seeing lots of students and parents in the colours on Friday 16th!
