Principal's Report

Dear Parents, Families and Community members,

Who'd have thought so much could happen in a week...?? This time last week we had again commenced Remote Learning and were expecting to be doing so for at least the next week. Then came the surprise announcement that Lockdown was ending for Regional Victoria and we were all back at school on Tuesday!

The in and the out and the unpredictability of it all is very challenging for everyone. I once again commend our community on their positive attitudes and commitment to 'doing what we need to do'. 

We have finished the week with a Curriculum Day focused on 'Inclusion in Practice', with staff engaging in Keynote Presentations from International and National speakers, as well as Workshops delivered by our very own ACS 'experts'. It was a great day and valuable learnings for our whole staff.

Welcome New Staff!

In our ever growing and evolving school, we continue to introduce new people to ACS and have again done so this Term. Please welcome the following new people and if you see them around the school give them a shout out!

Hello everyone, my name is Shanaee and I am teaching in the year 1/2 Winkipop community. 

Thank you to all of our lovely Armstrong Creek School community, for making me feel so welcomed. I have just moved to the Geelong area, and love spending my weekends going hiking and camping. 

I look forward to meeting everyone, so please come over and say hello if you see me. 

Hi I’m Michelle and I’m excited to have joined the 5/6 team at Armstrong Creek School. 

I’ve been teaching in Point Cook for 7 years and it’s great to be working in my local community. 

Outside of school I love spending time with my crazy kelpie Ace, swimming and supporting the Western Bulldogs.

Hey there! I’m Sam, I have been a Visual Arts teacher for 15 years now as well as a practicing artist and designer. 

I live in Torquay with my family where I enjoy the slow paced costal lifestyle. 

I love all things colourful and creative and am very excited to join the ACS team!
