DRIVE SAFE WA

We have an opportunity for Year 12 students to complete two units of competence in “safe driving”.

“Drive Safe Australia” will visit the College and conduct a one day course in driving 4WD vehicles and focus on the risk areas such as gravel driving and uneven terrains.

These two units

  • TLIC1051 Operate Commercial Vehicle
  • RIIVEH201E Operate Light Vehicle

both are regarded as the starting point for access to many mine sites in Australia.

Completing this course would benefit students in two ways –

  1. As a general safety and knowledge of defensive 4WD driving skills.
  2. Equip students with a couple of units that may be required in applications they might have next year into industry.

Places are limited as Drive Safe Australia will only deliver the course to a small group at a time, we will endeavour to ensure all students who wish to complete this course have the opportunity to this term.

The cost will not exceed $300.  The training and assessment will occur at the College on a Farm Day.
