Teacher Changes

Looking forward to the 2020 school year we are excited to let you know about some changes to our staff and teacher roles.

Preps - Mrs Alexandra Batty will be joining our team to take on the role of ABCs teacher.  Mrs Batty is an experienced and highly regarded teacher with many years teaching in both government and Christian schools.  She will join us in the new year.

Aleph (1/2) - Mrs Tina Wilson will take responsibility for the Aleph Learning Centre.  We have greatly appreciated her contribution to the Aleph classroom in recent months and we look forward to her taking over in the new year.

Bet (3/4)  - Mrs Shayna Carter will move from Preps to the Bet Learning Centre.  She is excited for the new opportunity.

Gimmel (5/6) - Mr Joel Thomas will move to the Gimmel Learning Centre.

Mrs Donna Williams will take up a new role as a specialist learning support officer.  She will work with students from most classrooms providing targeted assistance to help meet learning objectives.

Mrs Loris Tresize will take on a part-time role, working in the Library and also providing support to various students as necessary.

Miss Rachel Jasper has decided to continue her work in Papua New Guinea for at least another 12 months and so will not be returning to MCC in 2020.  There are still a few details to be confirmed regarding who will take on her responsibilities in 2020.  We'll fill you in on those when we can.

So, you can see that there are some significant changes coming in the new year.  We've had such a stable staff for a number of years now so it will take some getting used to, but we are excited for the changes.  There will be a great mix of experience and earned wisdom as well as youthful exuberance and energy.  We're particularly pleased to have created a new role that will strengthen our capacity to meet the needs of all students.
