The end of October and the beginning of November we saw all classes completing final work for their classes or revising for exams.

Year 7 classes practiced their biscuit making skills with Christmas Spice Biscuits.

Year 8 classes designed and produced their own muffins with great success. We saw many Raspberry and White Chocolate Muffins….YUMMMM.

Master Chef completed the Design Task of a Mystery Box. Many students produced pasta to stir fry dishes with a high level of presentation.

The class celebrated Halloween by making healthy and scary food….. Jack – o Lantern Oranges and Meatball Mummies. They completed the semester with Gingerbread People.

Year 9 Body shop looked at healthy snacks and the danger of energy drinks. They cooked Caramel Banana Cake.

Year 9 Multi-Cultural Munching finished off their tour of the cuisines around the world with TEX MEX – Fajitas.

Year 10 Exploring the Menu finished the semester off with Dumplings and the all-time favourite Chicken Parmigiana.

Year 11 made a student favourite….Caramel Slice and revised for their exams.

Step Up is in progress and we welcome the 2019 classes to Food Studies. It’s beginning to look like Christmas and the kitchens will be in full swing during December making Shortbread, Reindeer Biscuits and Spice Biscuits.

We would like to remind students that containers are needed for production classes. Year 8 (2019) students can also buy their Food Studies Booklet from the General Office $5.
