SUCCESS STORIES

VICTORIAN BOYS’ UNDER 15 CRICKET TEAM

Miles Sellenger (Year 8) has been selected to represent Victoria in the state's Boys’ Under 15 Cricket team at the Australian Championships to be held in Brisbane in February 2016.

Miles plays Sub-District cricket for Ormond Cricket Club's 2nd XI and is a promising young leg spinner for his age. Congratulations Miles on this outstanding achievement and we wish you success at the upcoming championships.

ENTERTAINMENT 88

Anthea Dimas (Year 8) recently performed in front of 300 parents and friends at her mid year and end of year concerts with Entertainment 88 which offers services in music tuition, audio recording and music and video production of live music.

Anthea has been taking singing lessons for only a year now, both private lessons and in Voices Teen Pop Choir and has come a very long way in her singing ability.

Her confidence has grown immensely and her song choices have been very entertaining and we wish her continued success in her future performances.

PACIFIC SCHOOL GAMES

Maya Hammam (Year 8) and Will Sharp (Year 7) competed in the Pacific School Games for School Sport Australia held in Adelaide in late November.

Maya won Gold (14 years 100 Butterfly), Silver (13-14 years 200 Butterfly) and Bronze (400 Medley Relay). Will won Silver (13 years 50 Backstroke) and had at least 9 top ten swims. Congratulations to you both on your wonderful achievements!

MAKING WAVES 2015 CONCERT

Harry Amner (Year 12) studied Music Style and Composition through the Distance Education Centre as part of his Units 3 and 4 subjects.

His composition, which is part of the externally assessed coursework for the year, was selected to be played by a group of professional musicians at the Making Waves 2015 concert. This is a fantastic opportunity to have his work performed and we wish him well.

AUSTRALIAN SCOUT MEDALLION

Matthew Willaton (Year 10) and Caitlyn Oakley (Year 9) were recently awarded with the Australian Scout Medallion.

Both Matthew and Caitlyn worked diligently to earn this award. It requires leadership, organisation, drive, determination, resilience and high level practical scouting knowledge such as camp craft and hiking.

They are now recognised as leaders and will continue to the next youth section of Scouting, called Venturers.

Congratulations Matthew and Caitlyn for receiving the TOP AWARD in the Scout section in Australia - Australian Scout Medallion. What an outstanding achievement!
