REC News

Dear Parents and Carers,

We would like to congratulate our Year 2 students Chance Bell, Jillian Cruckshank, Riley Knight, and Gracie Tully for receiving the Sacrament of Penance (First Reconciliation) for the first time on Wednesday, 31st May.

Thank you to the families for helping to prepare your child for this important Sacrament in their faith journey. I would also like to thank our Stage 1 Leaders of Learning, Miss Alice Woodhill and Mrs Brooke Woodhill, for their hard work and dedication towards organising and facilitating the Reconciliation evening.

Next week, our Year 6 students will take a Religious Education test to assess their knowledge of the content they have learned throughout their years in Primary School. They have been studying with their Leaders of Learning and have been practising through various tests during their RE lessons. We are proud of their hard work and wish them the best of luck on their upcoming exam.

On June 29th, is the Feast Day of St. Peter and St. Paul. These two individuals played significant roles in the Early Church. Peter was an apostle who travelled with Jesus during His Public Ministry and could testify to His Resurrection. Jesus had predicted that Peter would be the foundation of the Church, and in fact, Peter became the first pope and led the Apostles. He was martyred for his unwavering faith. Paul, on the other hand, was a devout Jew who initially persecuted Christians but later converted to become the greatest missionary of Christianity. He authored most of the Letters of the New Testament and is known as the Apostle of the Gentiles.

Yours in faith,

Karlee Hatton
