Music Academy
Austrian Club
The Groovin’ at the Austrian club was a great success! It was an evening filled with joy and excitement, where the entire community came together to celebrate the hard work and talents of the students. The students, from primary to VCE, all played extremely well, and it was a fantastic opportunity for them to experience performing in an authentic setting, to a warm and welcoming audience.
Run by the Melbourne International Jazz Festival, the Take Note workshop (21 June) is a program that addresses the under-representation of women and gender diverse musicians in jazz by celebrating and promoting women and gender diverse leaders on stage and in high schools across Victoria. Innovative Melbourne-based composer and saxophonist Cheryl Durongpisitkul is a talented composer and saxophonist known for her innovative style and ability to weave captivating narratives through her work. It is a fantastic opportunity for our students.
