On Monday morning, we had our second Firefighter visit from the Preston Fire Department. We learned that we should "stop, drop, cover and roll" if there is a fire on our clothes. After a brief chat, we were able to see the big red fire truck up close, and even have a go at using the hose! We got told all about the fire truck and the different compartments. The fire truck's number was number 12 which means it belongs to Preston. After the visit, we got to draw a picture and write about it in our book. What a fun start to the week!

St Paul’s Cathedral By Roman
The minute I took a step into the cathedral I felt calm and very peaceful. The music I heard was really cool, the music was from a really loud and soothing organ. On the windows I saw the stations of the cross just like at our church. I noticed that a mass was about to begin because a lot of people started to sit on the chairs.
Saint Paul's Cathedral By Katelin
As we were walking we stopped at Saint Paul’s Cathedral. Then we went inside group by group and when it was my turn, WOW it was amazing! I could see so many delicate murals of artwork, they were exquisite. It was also dead silent and the only thing I could hear was smooth deep music. When we were exiting the building I was stunned by what I had just witnessed and heard.
The Walk Around Melbourne City By Isabella
The walk around Melbourne City was VERY long! We barely had any rest! We passed a lot of expensive shops and my group was talking about them a lot. My watch told me that we had walked 11,000 steps! My legs were killing me! As soon as I got to the train station, the first thing I did was SIT DOWN! I was as lazy as a sloth and I don’t think I was the only one!
The Parliament House By Gail
As soon as I turned the corner my jaw dropped in shock, I saw the colossal Parliament House! Suddenly I found kids climbing the steps, it just kept on going on and on and on. It was an amazing sight!
Buildings By Veer
The trip to the City was so cool. We got to see cool buildings, all of which had beautiful and unique architecture. I noticed that the old buildings' windows were a bit curved, though the new buildings' windows had modern glass panels. I also noticed that mostly the old buildings had only 3 floors/storeys. I had a great time.
The Yarra River By Allie
When we arrived at the Yarra River, I could see a lot of boats. Because I was next to the river, it was a little cold. I felt excited and joyful, it was a fun and amazing experience!
