Dear Sacred Heart School Community,
Prayer
Sacred Heart Parish Prayer
Loving God, we honour the heart of Jesus, your beloved Son. We remember how he opened his heart in love to all people. Open our own heart to receive the gifts that continue to flow so richly from the heart of Christ, who lives with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever.
Amen.
I would like to take this opportunity to again thank you all, for your continued support of your children and our school. Together we continue to work passionately to ensure that Sacred Heart is a place where each of your children, our students, can be confident, resilient, enthusiastic learners.
I hope the holidays afford you the opportunity for some well earned family time and that if you are travelling, you stay safe.
Marty
I would like to take this opportunity to wish Marty a well deserved two weeks of Long Service Leave after the school holidays. A trip overseas will be a great panacea after a personally challenging few weeks. During Marty's LSL, our almost staff member and regular emergency teacher Deb Richards will take Marty's class.
Feast of the Sacred Heart (One Heart Many Faces)
Last Sunday's events were so befitting of the occasion; our school and parish feast day. A full church congregation representing all parish groups including our school, celebrated a spirit filled Mass and gave thanks for our diverse multi cultural community.
Celebrations moved onto the hall after Mass, where all those gathered were treated to a feast of culinary delights with food from all corners of our world for the tasting.
It was a very special day. Thank you to our school choir and Kate who sang the powerful song UBUNTU during the Mass
There will be lunch orders tomorrow
New Outdoor Learning Space
Our outdoor learning space is taking shape and will be completed over the weekend when the builder will attach the seating.
YLV Holiday Program
The holiday program conducted by our out of school care provider YLV is detailed below. As in the previous few term holidays, the program will be run at St Mark's PS Fawkner. A number of our students have joined the St Mark's students over the previous holidays and have enjoyed the program offered.

Term Two Interschool Sport
Our term two interschool sport program finished last Friday with games against Preston Primary School. Throughout the term, the teams representing Sacred Heart (soccer, netball - girls and netball - mixed) have done our school proud. All members have approached the competition with enthusiasm, a spirit of fairness, a sense of team and a desire to improve their skills and fitness. The teachers from other schools have frequently voiced their admiration of our student's behaviour and effort no matter the scores. Congratulations to all our students involved this term, and we look forward to interschool athletics next term.
Congratulations
Congratulations to our school's business manager, Rafael on the birth of his first child, a beautiful daughter Izabella Grace. Both Anna, Rafael's wife and Izabella Grace are doing well.
Yours Sincerely
Mark
