Last Day of TermFriday 15th September

Welcome back to the Scotsburn community after our mid year break. We hope that everyone had the opportunity to catch up and enjoy some family time. This term at Scotsburn we are looking forward to another fun-filled term, with lots happening in all three classes. As you can see from the dates above, there is already quite a bit booked in.

Thanks again for the continued support that we receive from the Scotsburn Community. Our families are the heartbeat of the campus and we are so appreciative of everything that you all do!

Please keep an eye out on Compass in the coming week for information about our start of term parent morning tea. We will use this catch up as an opportunity to organise some rosters and look at opportunities for more collaboration both inside and out of the classroom.

Scotsburn End of Term Two Video

If you missed it at the end of last term, here is a video to showcase some learning from Term 2:

Fruit in the Classrooms

This term, thanks to weekly donations from Woolworths Delacombe, each classroom has a full bowl of fruit for students to eat. We know how important a healthy diet is to fuel brains and bodies for learning, as this is one way we can help foster this even further.

Thanks to Kylie Smith for her organisation and coordination with this. There will be a google drive sign up sheet created in the near future and distributed for parents to help out with the pick up of the box of fruit, ready for each Monday morning.

Toastie Tuesdays

Toastie Tuesdays kick back off this week, so don’t forget to bring your dollar each week for a cheese or vegemite and cheese toastie!

Scotsburn Breakfast Club - Thursdays

With Breakfast club being such a roaring success in Term 2, we will continue to run the program every Thursday morning, free of charge for students. At this stage, we will continue to run the program one day per week, with plans to expand in the future.

A huge thank you to our parents who have donated breakfast items last term and volunteered assistance in the kitchen. Your generosity has allowed the program to be the success that it is and it is amazing to see the smiles on the students’ faces each Thursday morning! If you have some time on a Thursday morning, feel free to pop in before school to give a hand.

Scotsburn in the News

Over the holidays it was great to see the new kitchen get a write up in the Ballarat Times Newspaper. If you didn’t get a chance to see it, here is a screenshot below, as well as a link to the newspaper:
