We wish both Dante S (5T) and Angus H (5T) all the very best as they take part in their respective sports at a high level over the next few days.
As this newsletter goes out, Dante will have just completed his intensive 2-day SSV U12 State Basketball Trials Camp at Waverley stadium. From what feedback we’ve had, Dante has done himself proud, being only 1 of 4 bottom age students there, and was able to showcase his wonderful skills and team playing abilities over the intensive skills camp. Dante now has a nervous few days of waiting to hear if he’s been selected in the SSV U12 Victorian State Basketball team. We wish him all the very best.
We’d also like to wish Angus H (5T) all the very best for next Wednesday as he travels to Hastings to run in the SMR Regional Cross Country in his 11y Boys 3km event. We are sure he’ll give it his best and do himself and our school proud. Good luck Angus!

FINAL ROUND – ROUND 6
Friday 9th June
* FOOTBALL: MUST bring a mouthguard – no mouthguard, no play.
*NETBALL: please wear school sports uniform & sturdy sneakers
Football teams: Intra-school game: SF#1 vs SF#2.
Both teams are to walk to Hurlingham oval, depart approx. 12.10pm, return 2.45pm.
Staff: Mr Tyndall, Miss Happell, Mr Anderson.
Netball teams: SF#1 vs SF#2 teams to play St. Mary’s Malvern East @ HOME.
All netball teams are to play against the visiting St. Mary’s Malvern East netball teams.
Warm up: 12.10pm, Games: approx. 12.30pm – 2.30pm
Staff: Miss Kay & Mrs Howell.

YEAR 5&6 LIGHTNING PREM TOURNAMENTS - NEXT WEEK!
Many of our Year 5&6 students are looking forward to a big week of sport next week as they head off to represent St. Finbar’s in the Dendy District Lightning Premiership tournaments - soccer, netball and football. Operoo permission and information emails will be sent out by Friday afternoon. If parents can please read over this with their child and accept it by Monday please. We wish all of our teams all the very best for the tournaments and will no doubt represent our school well.
HOOPTIME TRYOUTS - UPDATE
It’s been yet another busy week of further Hoop Time trials for many of our Year 3-6’s! This week our Year 3 & 4 students showcased their basketball skills in the hall during lunch & snack playtimes. It was fantastic to see how supportive the students were of each other during the trials. Our Year 5 & 6 basketballers also participated in their second trial on Wednesday. Trials will continue next week -

*All Hoop Time Teams will be announced by mid Week 9.
