Pathways

Good luck for your Work Experience

On behalf of everyone at Brentwood, The Pathways Team extends best wishes to all the Year 10 students that are going to complete their work placements next week. Please carry the Work Experience booklet with you and complete the tasks in it.

An Alternate program will be run at school for students who aren’t completing their work placements next week.

Work Experience - Reflection

Last week, I had the amazing opportunity to do my work experience at Healesville Sanctuary. Over the week I got to work in many of their departments including horticulture, learning experiences, visitor engagement, and with the zookeepers. I helped with the school groups, making enrichment items for some of the animals, weeding, gardening, and observing the staff in the various departments do their jobs. It was a great opportunity to experience a wide variety of different roles within the zoo and understand the work that goes on behind the scenes of this amazing organisation. Everyone was very warm and welcoming, and I am honoured to have been able to have experienced this.
