We are focussing on the Archibald’s Prize in Art which will be exhibited later this year at the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery.
Students are drawing and painting images of someone they know.
A lucky and talented 4 students will be chosen to enter the Little Archie’s which will also be on display at MPRG. It will showcase the best young, local artists.
Look at the work of two of our clever prep students Milly (portrait of Rosie) and Travis (portrait of Elijah). Such talented young artists at Fatima.
Our clever and sustainable preps made funky and imaginative robots out of old VCR and audio tapes. The creative ideas of our students never ceases to amaze me.
Robots shown are by Christina and Xavier.
Year 3/4 students made Pygmy Possum and Bogong Moth posters using Google Draw to promote the Lights Off Campaign. Bogong moths migrate from NSW to Vic via navigating the stars. They get disorientated by outdoor lights and this affects their ability to get to the Victorian Alps. The pygmy possum, which is endangered, relys on the moth for their survival after hiberating under the snow during wintertime. This poster was created by Alexander M.
The year 3/4 students also created a stunning display of art work depicting lizards using traditional indigenous style and colours. These pictures are displayed in the hall to celebrate NAIDOC week. If you are at assembly tomorrow afternoon be sure to have a look. Well done Greta and Middle School students on your outstanding work.
