Tim Dehn - Community Relations Manager

In Colossians 1: 16-17, where Paul is describing Christ, we read these words:

For in Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him.

He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together

Today, Tim Argall is at a Christian educators' conference in South Korea, presenting a paper entitled "Shalom leadership – utilising God’s ancient plan for wholeness in leading Christian learning institutions."

Those verses from Colossians are quoted in the conference description which you can find here.

As parents, staff and students in the community of Donvale, the apparent tension between our faith in Christ and our daily lives lies at the base of our identity formation.

How we resolve that tension, seeking God's shalom - wholeness - will affect the way we approach our work and understand our role in the world, whether that's the world of family, the world of school, or the wider world with all its uncertainties.

May that divine, Christ-centred wholeness become daily more real to you and yours as you take a break from school routine for a couple of weeks.

Shalom.
