This week in the kitchen:

Honey biscuits

Ingredients:

  • 175 grams butter
  • 1/2 cup of caster sugar
  • 1/2 cup of honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
  • 1 egg
  • 2 and 1/4 cups of SR flour

 

Method:

  • Oven 180 C
  • Chop the butter into 2cm cubes.
  • Measure out all the ingredients.
  • In the bowl of the electric mixer place the butter and sugar mix on a medium speed until blended. Add the honey, cinnamon, salt, vanilla and egg while continuing to mix. Gradually add the flour and continue mixing until well combined.
  • Line 3 baking trays with baking paper.
  • Roll the dough into tablespoon size balls, place them on the trays allowing a gap between each biscuit.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes.
