Year 2 Garden Reflection

Penny in 2D: “We learned that life cycles are a process of change. We also learned how some trees lose their leaves and others don't. The ones that don't are called evergreen trees. The trees that lose leaves were brought to Australia from colder places. Trees lose leaves so snow won't break their branches."

Daisy in 2D:” We have an inquiry into life cycles as a process of change. When the leaves fall, they sound like a waterfall. They also sound like whispering and rustling. I like how we got to look and examine the leaves before we drew them. I think that it’s quite interesting that Australian trees are only evergreen trees and that colourful ones are from other countries. I love how interesting leaves are and I hope you do too!”
