Year 1/2

Reading: The students have summarised the who, what, where and when in their readers.

Writing: The students have chosen an Australian animal to write an information report on. They have researched their diet, habitat, offspring, characteristics and found some interesting facts about them.

Maths: The highlight of the week was the student's maths lesson. Using skittles, they collected data to make a bar graph.

Art: The students created these beautiful woven birds.

Year 3/4

Students in the 3/4 area have been working hard at a variety of Art projects, using a lot of fine motor skills!

The 3/4 students have been having a fantastic time doing science with Nanna B. They made electrical circuits with flat copper and button batteries, lighting up a small light bulb and catapults with pop sticks, rubber bands and spoons. A wonderful time was had by all.

Year 5/6

On Tuesday the Grade 6's spent another day at CSC. They learnt about how much soil is available on Earth to grow our food and planted some celery in the 'farm'. Then, they drew portraits and learnt different techniques to add effect with oil pastels. Some experienced Wood work, having a go with a saw and others made vanilla biscuits. It's was a great day students enjoyed familiarising themselves with the school grounds and staff.

Mathematical problem solving, students enjoyed the challenge!

Some amazing 5/6 students took up the challenge to write a 4 min speech around the topic 'Strange world records set throughout history'. Willow, Kyenan, Kayla, Emily and Chelsea spoke beautifully. A huge congratulations to Emily and Chelsea who will compete with other schools in the area on Friday 16th June. Good luck girls!
