End of Year Changes:

We have new End of Year arrangements.

Graduation Day always ends up being pretty hectic and brings a lot of logistical challenges. Teachers have felt they don't have enough time to meet with graduates after graduation.

They want to be able to properly catch up with each graduate and share in the thrill and pride all have in graduating, including those who are award winners.

They also want to be able to take formal photos of each graduate and their awards for those who gain them.

Our proposal for this year is to make Thursday, 14 December, the final day of school for years one to four students. School will finish at the usual time for all students on this day.

Years five and six will finish school on Friday, 15 December.

Year six graduation will happen on Friday, 15 December - more time details to come. Year five will be our audience. The event will be live-streamed, so children at home will be able to watch it that way.

With a much smaller on-site audience, we will have much more room for family and extended family members to attend and celebrate graduation. Siblings, including those in years 1 to 4 will obviously also be able to attend.

We are always striving to be better, to improve our systems and particularly, to improve relationships and outcomes for students.

We will trial this new idea this year, and hopefully, the positives will outweigh the negatives. If you have thoughts or suggestions regarding this, do let me know via any of the usual ways - text 021779009, email mac@mac.com or in person of course.

As always, we appreciate your patience, understanding and support.
