Welcome back to Term 3!

This week we celebrated NAIDOC week.  The children listened to the story "My Deadly Boots" by Carl Merrison and Hakea Hustler.

We discussed some of the vocabulary, including the fact that 'deadly' is actually a synonym for amazing or awesome.

Students imagined their own 'deadly' pair of shoes that they used to write a variety of sentences about, using descriptive language.

Here are some of our 'deadly' shoes....

We gathered together as a whole school on Wednesday morning to reflect on the NAIDOC week theme 'For our Elders', acknowledging the important role they continually play in our community.

Some students also contributed to a collaborative art piece for NAIDOC week.

Thanks to all the families who have completed the permission form for our excursion to Twisted Science next Friday 21st June. If you haven't completed the online form yet, please check the Operoo app.
