Welcome back! We hope you all had a great break and are looking forward to another busy term 3! 

Literacy

We are focussing on revising our work in grade 6. This means we are going to have a strong focus on grammar and punctuation in our writing. The students will engage in a range of research tasks to build their knowledge on various topics relating to colonial times in Australia. They will then be provided with opportunities to demonstrate their knowledge in creative and informative ways. 

Maths 

Over the next two weeks, the grade 6's will be focusing on reading and interpreting data in maths. They will engage in a range of activities where they can collect data, create graphs and interpret different data sets by identifying the mean, median, mode and range.  

Inquiry 

As we are getting ready for our camp at Sovereign Hill in Week 9, this term we will be studying the Gold Rush. 

So far the students have learnt about how the Australian colonies developed over time and the impacts that colonisation had on the environment and Indigenous Australians.
