Years 1 and 2 News..
This term in Year 1/2 Maths, we have been having a focus on Measurement. We have had a lot of fun out in the playground, comparing the capacity of various containers and figuring out which holds the most. We have also explored the features of 2D and 3D shapes, even making nets to turn into a 3D shape model. Another aspect of Maths we have covered this term is data collection and presentation. We have been learning how to create bar graphs from data we have collected and have even used a website on the ipads to digitally create graphs. Some of us have practised this at home by going to the website www.nces.ed.gov/nceskids/createagraph and entering some data we have collected. You might want to have a go too!
