Cultural Diversity Week Celebrations

The Multicultural Night is always a highlight during Cultural Diversity Week and this year was no exception! There was a true sense of excitement, with the entire school community celebrating the diversity that exists here at Trinity. The abundance of delicious food representing our traditions and cultures adorned the tables and it was great to see people sharing information about the dishes as they were enjoyed.

This year, extra colour was added to the night with students performing two poems in Mandarin. It was a lovely way to showcase Mandarin being taught at Trinity by Parker Yang, our teacher of Mandarin.

Our talented choir sang Pokarekare ana (Maori folk- NZ) and Bonse Aba(Zambia)so beautifully! And.... they knew exactly what to do! Mr. O’Bree, our music teacher has certainly taught the well.

It was wonderful to see families viewing and photographing examples of students' learning based on the book ‘I’m Australian Too’ that was displayed.

Books in Homes

The Books in Homes Assembly was held on Tuesday, the 27th of March. Our students in Years 1/2 RM, 2/3 GT, 3/4 HT, 3/4 TR received two books each through the kindness and generosity of our Sponsor, Biggin & Scott Real Estate in Richmond.

This Term our Role Model Author was Meredith Costain, author of ‘Ella Diaries’ and ‘Doodledum Dancing’ to name a few. She shared her love of books and and about the inspiration of some of her stories. She also inspired us to write AND read!

We look forward to learning more about her books in class and at home.

The Books in Homes foundation supplies the books for our school and with the help of our fantastic parents (and Xavier students), the books were labelled and packaged for the students.
