Last Week of Term
Dear Families
What a great term! It's difficult to believe that we are already at the end of Term 1, but when we reflect on the great learning across the grades, sports clinics and swimming trials, super leadership from our new Student Leaders, and the many community events across the term we begin to appreciate what an engaging and welcoming community we have at Trinity.
Congratulations to all our students for their great work in learning, leading and working so well with each other in an atmosphere of excitement and fun. A huge "Well done" to our Prep students and to the many other students who have joined the Trinity community this year: it has been great to see all our new members of the school settle in so well to our community, embracing the school values and the learning challenges.
Multicultural Night
Our Multicultural Night was a huge celebration this year, with great contributions to the nights from students and parents, and what was most likely our largest ever attendance of families. It was so great to see so many families meeting new families, with our shared food being a great opportunity to meet new people. Parker led our students reading Poems in Mandarin, while our choir (led on the night by Lincoln and Miss Vicki) sang beautiful songs from different cultures. A big thanks to our parents for their contribution to the evening's meal, which was shared and enjoyed by all the families and staff present. Later Maria led our students in a Belly Dance, and Chrystal led almost everyone present in a Zorba dance to end the evening. Thanks to all the parents who supported the night. A big thanks to all the parents who helped with the raffle, especially Cecilia who organised and communicated with the community in the weeks leading up. Thanks to Peter S for his great work on the microphone on the night. Thanks to the staff who helped prepared performances one the night. A really huge thanks to Vicki for setting up and organising the great contributions from the parents and students, which helped make the event such a great evening.
Learning Expo
Great learning was shared by all our grades at our Learning Expo on Tuesday. The variety and scope of the work in each of the grades, and the great presentations by students in each class was outstanding with a great number of parents taking the opportunity to explore the the school's learning from the term.
I hope you all have a restful, rewarding and safe school holiday, and a very happy Easter.
Pete
