OUR FAITH

PRAYER

Lord Jesus Christ, we worship you living among us in the sacrament of your body and blood. May we offer to our Father in heaven a solemn pledge of undivided love. May we offer to our brothers and sisters a life poured out in loving service of that kingdom where you live with the Father and the Holy Spirit one God for ever and ever.

Amen

LITURGY NEWS

Next Wednesday some of our Year 5 students will have the opportunity to attend Reconciliation.

FAMILY MASS

Thank you to all who gathered to celebrate our Family Mass last Sunday, especially the families of our Year 2 and Year 4 students. A big thank you to Father Chris for celebrating Mass.

FIRST RECONCILIATION

Congratulations to all the students who made their First Reconciliation last night. We had 78 students from our school present themselves to Fr Chris, Fr Paul, Fr Ross, Fr Curran, Fr Mullane and Fr John for confession and absolution. It was a very special evening and we thank all the priests for their time. A huge thank you also to the Year 3 teachers for their support and preparation.

FIRST EUCHARIST

As we approach the weekend where many of our students will be making their First Eucharist, parents are reminded that only those who have been nominated to attend each mass (5 people plus the candidate) are the only people who accompany the candidate. Due to restrictions we need to adhere to the maximum number of people allowed inside the church at any given time. Your support and cooperation in this matter is imperative.

MINI VINNIES - WINTER APPEAL

Each year, as a school community, we try to support the St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal. We are encouraged to help the many disadvantaged people in our community by collecting donations of the following items: warm clothes, sheets or warm blankets. We do not expect you to go and buy new items, rather why not take the opportunity to sort out a few cupboards and send any unwanted items into school. Any items can be sent to school with your children where they will place them in the collection boxes. Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.

CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK

What a fantastic week of celebrations we had last week to acknowledge Catholic Schools Week and 200 years of Catholic education in Australia. The week concluded with each member of the school community gathering on our school oval to form the numeral 200 where from there a drone shot was taken. This was no mean feat in getting 600 plus staff and students standing in one place.

This photo below will now form a part of the school's long rich history of Catholic education within this diocese and region. What a shot and how lucky are we to have these facilities, which house great staff and students, who foster a great sense of pride and community spirit.
