Wellbeing & Engagement

Wellbeing and Engagement

It is hard to believe that we are here again in lockdown. Our thoughts are with every family in our community as we once again work together to control this virus. Dan Andrews today commented on Social Media around the sacrifice Victorians have made and continue to make for the protection of our community, our state and the country. He is clearly an orator beyond my abilities and I find his sentiments fortifying. I will try to remember them as I am trying to juggle remote learning and working from home… I am aware that there are many others in far worse positions.

I have returned from my internship at Milgate Primary School and was so looking forward to having my first day back at Rangeview as Wonder Woman. I have borne the disappointment well and can let you all know that we have re-scheduled our wonderful RRRR & eSmart Celebration Day to Friday 25th June – last day of Term! More details will come but we encourage the students to come as their superhero on that day.

Please be kind to yourselves and to your families. Encourage your children to complete their morning check-in and join their class WebEx. If they can attempt the learning tasks set for the day that is wonderful – we do however understand that every day is different and some days it is easier to get through the work than others. We hope the news this week is around easing of restrictions and we are able to welcome the students back to on site learning as soon as possible.

Rangeview School Review

As you may be aware we are preparing for the 4 year School Review which will occur in Term 3 and result in our new School Strategic Plan. As we move towards creating this new vision for our school, we would greatly appreciate parent / carer / family feedback around what you would like your child to have in their ‘backpack’ when they leave Rangeview? What tools, skills, attributes and learnings are important to you?

We have created a Padlet to record this feedback. Please add your thoughts under the headings provided.
