Level 3/4

Level 3 & 4 News

Year 3 and 4 have had a great few week continuing on with set work. Unfortunately, the weeks turned into remote learning once again. The students are to be commended on their amazing resilience and attitude with these changes. All students have begun completing assigned tasks every day and attending the WebEx meetings with their teacher. All teachers are looking forward to seeing the students come back into the classroom very soon.

Year 4 have been continuing building their amazing STEM mazes that soon their Sphero will be directed to move around in. The students are doing a great job working in their teams and having positive communication around any changes or additions they need to make to their building process. It will be really exciting when the students can return to school and see the finished product. While remote learning year 4 have started learning about Poetry and discovering a wide range of Poems that can be written.

While back on remote learning the year 3 and 4 students have begun learning about the different phases of the moon and creating an experiment to demonstrate how the sun rises and sets in Australia. All the teachers are enjoying viewing each student’s video explanation. It is a great topic for the students to delve into more understanding about space. It will be great when the students can return to school and attend the Skylab Science Discovery Dome to learn more.

Level 3 students have been completing Flora & Fauna at school and during Remote Learning too! You can find the update on the Flora & Fauna page of the newsletter. Level 3 Camp will be a highlight for students this year. The camp is fast approaching and will take place in Term 3 from Monday 30th August to Wednesday 1st September. More details and information will be sent home in the coming weeks. A massive thank you to our amazing families in Level 3 & 4 for their incredible support, patience and understanding as we have moved back into Remote Learning. We are so grateful for all that you do!
