The Star Jump Challenge

Kingswood High Team

KHS joined the PCYC’s Star Jump Challenge for Youth Mental Health in April this year. This event was part of the fundraising and awareness campaign established to support young people experiencing anxiety, depression and other mental health challenges. That’s why the PCYC is starting a new preventative mental wellness program to help young people build resilience skills.

KHS created a team, and over 30 staff and students joined our fundraising effort. Our initial aim was to raise awareness of Mental Health issues and to raise a $1000, we kept increasing our goal due to the support of the staff, students and community. At the conclusion of the event, we raised $6050 and placed 11th in NSW. A sensational effort!

We would like to thank all the staff, students and community members who supported this event. Our top students fundraisers were:

  • Billy K - (Yr 10)
  • Tyler T (Year 12)
  • Maison B (Year 8)
  • Eva A (Year 8)
  • Kieran B (Year 12)
  • Fatima ((Year 7)

Congratulations and thank you for all your efforts and participation in this event.

Thanks to all those who joined and/or supported this campaign, we are so very grateful for the overwhelming response from our school community. We would also like to acknowledge and thank NOVA Employment, who also sponsored our team.

Finally, a massive thank you to the Special Education Faculty for always supporting our projects and going above and beyond to help the campaign be successful.

Thanks,

Miss Cass
