Codemasters

Every year Melbourne University holds a coding competition for years seven to twelve. This year we had three teams entered, two senior and one junior. First of all, I’d like to say a big congratulations to all the girls who participated as it was a really big achievement just to answer even one of the questions. All three team were given six problem to solve in two and a half hours. This may not seem like much but with no internet access and with most being new to coding it was a real challenge. But we were enthusiastic anyway. The problems were along the lines of completing complex sequences patterns and searching through hundreds of pages of words/DNA for a certain string of letters. All the girls wanted to know more about coding because if we had just a little more knowledge we could have doubled or even tripled our scores. And even after all that our junior team came third!

Congratulations to Emily Cuddy

Congratulations to Emily Cuddy who has just returned from the Flanders International Acro + World Cup in Belgium where she placed 10th overall in a field of 34 representing Australia.
