Year 7 Camp

7.7  Camp Marysville Experience

In week one of the school year, all year seven students went to camp at Camp Marysville. Students from 7.7 described the camp as awesome, interesting and fun. The students were billeted in cabins for the camp and Renee described them as comfortable and warm. The food on camp according to Flynn was delicious and good to eat, we had potatoes and stir-fry and for desert we had apple crumble with ice cream and chocolate brownies with cream. There was plenty of variety and quantity and it tasted great.

The activities 7.7 were given a chance to try included canoeing, mountain bike riding, bush walking, rock climbing, cooking, low ropes and camp fire to name a few. Tegan of 7.7 said her favourite activity was the canoeing because she had never done it before and it was fun. Jayde said her favourite activity was rock climbing where she made it almost to the top of the very high wall. The boys in 7.7 who made it to the top were Evan, Ben, and Jack. Akira made it to the top for the girls.

The camp staff were very helpful and funny and helped make the camp fun for everyone according to Renee. Miss Balassa and Miss Cooke were 7.7’s activity leaders and they were very encouraging and supportive to all the 7.7 team and that also helped make the camp fun. All in all a great time was had by all on camp.

Well done to all the students and staff who attended the camp and a special thanks to Miss Forlani for all of her work in organising a great experience.
