Instrumental Music Lessons

This week, students across Year 7-12 started lessons in the new Instrumental Music rooms. These great spaces are facilitated by several experienced and knowledgeable staff members who will guide students through learning the musical instrument of their choice. Students can enrol for lessons with the following teachers:

• Luke Hart (guitar/bass)
• Hilary Odgers (violin/viola)
• Damien Maughan (brass)
• Brett Evans (woodwind)
• Elly Prappas (keyboard)
• Peter Kahoun (drums/percussion)
• Cody Bell (voice)

Students need to attend all of their instrumental classes, which are scheduled on a weekly rotating timetable to avoid repeat disruptions from classroom lessons. It’s crucial that students notify their instrumental teachers if they are unable to attend their scheduled class so they can reschedule for another time. It’s also important that students are taking their hire instruments home to practice. To enrol in the program or hire an instrument, please see the front office for more information.

It was fantastic to see our new Music Captains, Robert Basaranowicz and Olivia Brock, take the stage on Monday to address Staughton’s newest enrolments in the Instrumental Music Program. We look forward to seeing these students improve their musical skills and participate in upcoming school events.
