Matilda the Musical

Inspired by the twisted genius of Roald Dahl, and joined with the brilliant music of Tim Minchin, the Musical Matilda is the captivating masterpiece that revels in the anarchy of childhood, the power of imagination and the inspiring story of a girl who dreams of a better life.

Matilda is a little girl with astonishing wit, intelligence and psychokinetic powers. She's unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher, the highly loveable Miss Honey.

Over the course of her first term at school, Matilda and Miss Honey have a profound effect on each other's lives, as Miss Honey begins not only to recognise, but also appreciate Matilda's extraordinary personality.

Matilda's school life isn't completely smooth sailing however – the school's mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don't abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils' saving grace!

Performances will be May 21 – 23. Booking details will be available soon.

International Women’s Day Breakfast

Congratulations to Year 12 student, Maddy Webster, and Year 11 student, Cindy Yi, for their contribution to Kilvington’s first International Woman’s Day Breakfast held last Friday 6 March at the Sports Centre.

The girls performed with professionalism and grace.

Star of the Week

Congratulations to Ben Molloy for consistently working hard throughout the term on improving all aspects of his saxophone playing.

Student Achievements

Edgar Chen has been chosen as one of the youngest participants of the Young Mannheim Symphony.

Edgar will spend four days participating in workshops, tutorials and orchestral rehearsals at Camberwell Grammar School. With the help of musicians from the Australian Romantic and Classical Orchestra, this will culminate in a public concert in which the Young Mannheim Symphony will perform the repertoire they have prepared over the week.

Well done to Edgar on an outstanding achievement!
